All Minds Matter, a webinar conducted by the Department of Psychology, East Campus, Sacred Heart College, Thevara was a session aimed at bringing awareness about mental health and reducing the stigma that surrounds it.
The programme was graced by Vasundharaa S Nair, Senior research fellow-UGC, Dept. of Psychiatric Social Work NIMHANS, Bangalore. The session was filled with various activities and it involved active participation of all the students. The session seemed to prove that awareness is a form of education and that it is imperative to inform and educate everyone regarding mental health issues. With the number of people reporting mental health concerns slowly increasing especially due to the covid pandemic, it has become difficult to ignore the impact that mental illness can have in our day to day lives, our society, and our economy at large. ‘All Minds Matter’ definitely threw light on the importance of increasing awareness and destigmatizing mental health issues.
